Christmas Newsletter 2004

Greetings from Winston-Salem, NC… Somehow that just does not sound as good as “Greetings from sunny Florida”. However we have left the warm winter air of Florida and have made our home in the cold tundra in the North as two frozen snow people, a frozen snow dog, and a frozen bun in the oven.

For those of you we have not seen recently, Alli and I are pregnant with our first child. Alli has just finished her first trimester with flying colors. Besides some lack of sleep and tightening clothes, Alli has not suffered the horror stories of pregnancy, like morning sickness or roller coaster mood swings. Supposedly the baby is now the size of a lime and due to come the middle of June. We are growing in our love for this child already and know that God will use her/him to richly bless our lives. We look forward to meeting this new creation!!

I am just finishing up my first semester of business school. It has been everything I have been warned about. The winter break has found me battle weary from the tough schedules and constant studying. All in all, I am hanging in there and learning a lot.

Alli has created her own business as a professional organizer with a great website at www.shorterdesigns.com The business started to pick up the last few weeks, as Alli changed a spare room into a nursery, reclaimed a home office space, and designed efficient closets. Next month she we join the speaking circuit talking at local MOPS (Mothers of Pre-schoolers) groups. I know she will be a hit standing up there with her pregnant tummy.

Our church continues to be a blessing to us both. Alli has been active in two different Bible studies and works out twice a week at an aerobics class the church offers. And we have made several friends in our Sunday School class which has also been fun.

We are both very happy about the upcoming arrival. Teddy, however, is still upset about the cold weather.

Merry Christmas!

Kevin and Alli
